Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager specializing in Oncology to join our team in the Middle East. This newly created role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, offers a unique opportunity to shape the commercialization strategy for innovative oncology products in a high-growth market. As a key member of our Oncology Brand Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive product launches, foster stakeholder engagement, and position Gilead as a leader in oncology care. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for oncology and a proven track record in product management, cross-functional leadership, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement integrated marketing plans aligned with brand strategy, ensuring execution within budget and timelines. This includes designing and overseeing multi-channel marketing campaigns with a focus on innovation, particularly in digital marketing, while establishing performance metrics to evaluate success.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the Oncology Brand Team, collaborating with global and regional stakeholders to align on broader cross-functional initiatives. Work closely with agencies, field teams, and internal partners to ensure cohesive execution of marketing strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Medical Oncologists and other key opinion leaders (KOLs) to enhance Gilead’s presence in the oncology market. Develop and execute engagement plans that foster trust, collaboration, and advocacy for our products.
• Market Insights & Optimization: Monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape to identify opportunities and threats. Leverage market research and analytics to refine marketing strategies and tactics, ensuring they remain responsive to market dynamics and compliant with regional regulations.
• Innovation & Differentiation: Design and implement innovative initiatives that differentiate Gilead in the oncology space, in coordination with field teams and other stakeholders. Drive thought leadership and educational programs that elevate our brand and support patient outcomes.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to Gilead’s Code of Practice and regional regulatory requirements. Maintain a thorough understanding of local and international guidelines to mitigate risk and uphold the company’s reputation.
• Travel & Engagement: Engage in national and international business travel, which may account for 30-40% of working time, to support market development, stakeholder meetings, and strategic initiatives.

• Proven Expertise: A track record of successfully developing and executing marketing plans, managing budgets, and tracking campaign performance in the oncology or related therapeutic areas.
• Strategic Acumen: The ability to think strategically, formulate actionable plans, and drive execution with a focus on measurable outcomes. Strong analytical skills to identify complex issues and develop cross-functional solutions.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and external partners. A collaborative mindset with a commitment to team success.
• Stakeholder Management: A proven ability to build and maintain a robust network of KOLs and key stakeholders, fostering long-term relationships that drive market adoption and advocacy.
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage stakeholders at all levels, from internal teams to external partners and healthcare professionals.
• Organizational Excellence: Advanced planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
• Regulatory Awareness: A strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the Middle East, to ensure all activities align with legal and ethical standards.
