Application Engineer (Saudization)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Application Engineer (Saudization) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with leading organizations across critical industries, including aerospace and defense, oil and gas, communications, automation, and machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the adoption and utilization of MathWorks’ cutting-edge engineering software solutions, particularly MATLAB and Simulink, by providing expert technical support, developing compelling demonstrations, and facilitating seamless integration into customer workflows. Key Responsibilities

• Technical Marketing and Sales Support: Contribute to the strategic marketing and sales initiatives of MathWorks’ advanced engineering products by developing components of software product models and simulations that highlight the capabilities and applications of MATLAB and Simulink.
• Demonstration Development: Design and implement technical demonstrations of MATLAB and Simulink products to support sales activities, ensuring these examples effectively showcase real-world applications and solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Customer Engagement and Consultation: Partner with senior team members to engage with prospective and existing customers, gaining a deep understanding of their workflows, challenges, and technical requirements. Identify and recommend MathWorks engineering solutions that align with their specific needs and objectives.
• Application Development: Create application examples and simulations that demonstrate how MathWorks software addresses complex engineering problems, providing tangible proof of concept to facilitate customer decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop targeted strategies for different accounts and markets, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to customer acquisition and retention.
• Technical Support and Training: Provide high-level technical support to customers utilizing MATLAB, Simulink, and the broader suite of MathWorks products. Assist in troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and the implementation of best practices to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Communications Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink, with a strong background in signal processing, radio frequency, or wireless communications applications. Equivalent academic experience will also be considered.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
• Proven expertise in model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink, including modeling, simulation, analysis, testing, and deployment workflows for control design and automation applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and robotics.
• Demonstrated ability to support customers with engineering data analysis workflows using MATLAB and Simulink, ensuring they derive maximum value from these tools.
• Experience in developing and delivering technical product demonstrations to customers, as well as contributing to product marketing strategies to enhance market penetration and customer satisfaction.

Daily Activities

On a day-to-day basis, the Application Engineer will engage in the following activities:

• Conducting technical consultations with customers to understand their project requirements, workflows, and challenges, and recommending MathWorks technical solutions that align with their objectives.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations, as well as demonstrating application examples through onsite visits, seminars, webinars, and other engagement formats.
• Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies tailored to specific accounts and markets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
• Executing in-depth technical engagements with customers evaluating MathWorks products, providing insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Offering high-level technical support to customers using MATLAB, Simulink, and the entire suite of MathWorks products, including troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and best practice implementation.
