Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational activities designed to optimize medical practice and accelerate our pipeline. Your core duties include:

• Medical Strategy Development: Proactively shape and execute the local medical strategy by communicating a scientifically robust, differentiated value proposition across the asset lifecycle. Your insights will guide cross-functional teams in aligning with Roche’s long-term objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain deep, peer-to-peer relationships with Top Academic Experts (TAEs) and healthcare professionals. This role requires significant in-field engagement to facilitate non-promotional scientific exchanges, fostering collaborative partnerships that drive medical innovation.
• Clinical Insight Translation: Systematically gather and analyze field-based insights, including patient perspectives, to inform disease strategy and identify clinical gaps. Your findings will be critical in shaping Roche’s clinical development and commercialization efforts.
• Scientific Education & Capability Building: Deliver high-quality medical education initiatives, support internal team development, and lead scientific advisory boards to enhance clinical confidence and drive practice adoption of Roche’s therapies.
• Clinical Research & Access Support: Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and Regulatory teams to engage study sites, facilitate health authority exchanges, and assess local trial feasibility. Your contributions will be instrumental in accelerating the delivery of Roche’s clinical pipeline.
• Data Integrity & Governance: Act as a custodian of medical and competitor data, ensuring adherence to rigorous scientific standards, ethical guidelines, and human-in-the-loop validation processes for digital and medical information inquiries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a scientifically curious and empathetic leader who thrives in collaborative environments and is driven by the opportunity to translate complex data into tangible health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Advanced Scientific Education: A completed degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) is required.
• Medical Affairs Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or a related clinical role within a therapeutic domain, with a focus on oncology or gastroenterology preferred.
• Communication & Engagement Skills: Exceptional, assertive communication abilities, coupled with a proven track record of engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with external clinical leaders and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
• Strategic & Digital Acumen: A strategic mindset with the ability to adapt to digital tools and platforms, while maintaining a critical understanding of the role of human oversight in AI-derived scientific content.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential for global collaboration, alongside fluency in Arabic to effectively engage with local healthcare ecosystems and stakeholders.
