IT Specialist

Position Overview

Arthur Lawrence is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our organization’s IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless technological operations across all departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT solutions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and network connectivity problems, providing timely and effective solutions to end-users.
• Cybersecurity Enforcement: Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls, to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
• System Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and backups to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
• User Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on IT best practices, software applications, and security awareness. Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to procure IT resources, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• Project Participation: Contribute to IT projects, including system migrations, software implementations, and infrastructure expansions, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSE) are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders and convey technical concepts clearly.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team to achieve organizational goals.
• Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
