Technical Operations Manager, Audit, Third Party Data Centers

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee audit processes and ensure operational excellence within third-party data centers. This critical role will be based in Dammam and will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of security, compliance, and efficiency in data center operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a keen eye for detail to drive continuous improvement in our global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Oversight: Lead and manage comprehensive audits of third-party data centers to verify compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Operational Excellence: Monitor and optimize data center operations to enhance performance, reliability, and security. Implement best practices to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Supervise a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Drive collaboration across departments to align operational goals with business objectives.
• Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, including data protection laws, industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), and contractual obligations. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any gaps or non-conformities.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in data center operations. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and security breaches.
• Vendor Coordination: Work closely with third-party data center providers to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with contractual agreements. Maintain strong relationships to facilitate seamless collaboration.
• Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of audit processes and operational improvements. Present data-driven insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Incident Management: Lead the response to operational incidents, including data breaches or service disruptions, by coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in technical operations management, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data center environments. A strong understanding of audit methodologies, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles is essential. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and possess relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or PMP. Proficiency in data center technologies, including cooling systems, power management, and network infrastructure, is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
