QC Engineer - Mechanical

Position Overview

Technomak Modular Building Solutions, a leading innovator in the modular construction industry based in Dammam, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QC Engineer – Mechanical to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control in our mechanical systems and components, contributing to the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our modular building solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and internal quality benchmarks, while driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control: Conduct rigorous inspections and tests on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and structural components, to verify compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancing manufacturing processes, reducing defects, and improving overall product quality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test reports, and non-conformance issues, ensuring traceability and facilitating corrective actions where necessary.
• Compliance & Certification: Ensure all mechanical systems and components meet applicable codes, such as ISO, ASME, and local regulatory standards, and assist in obtaining necessary certifications for projects.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Investigate quality discrepancies, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions to prevent recurrence, minimizing production delays and rework.
• Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Work closely with suppliers to evaluate incoming materials and components, ensuring they meet specified quality criteria before integration into production.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, preferably within the mechanical or modular construction industry.
• Proficiency in quality control methodologies, such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and structural components, as well as relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME B31.1).
• Experience with quality management software and tools for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
