Hill International, Inc. is seeking a visionary Senior Sustainability Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will lead the integration of sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and corporate responsibility initiatives across our projects and operations. In this leadership position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute sustainability strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce environmental footprints, and foster long-term resilience. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping Hill International’s commitment to sustainability, ensuring compliance with international standards, and positioning the company as a leader in environmentally responsible engineering and consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee sustainability frameworks, policies, and programs that align with global environmental goals, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ISO 14001 standards.
• Project Integration: Embed sustainability considerations into project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies are seamlessly integrated into all phases of our projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to advocate for sustainable practices, conduct training sessions, and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
• Innovation and Compliance: Stay ahead of evolving regulations and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance sustainability performance while maintaining compliance with local and international environmental laws.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytical tools and sustainability metrics to monitor progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
• Team Development: Mentor junior engineers and sustainability professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and growth in sustainability practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree with extensive experience may be considered.
• Proven expertise in sustainability engineering, environmental impact assessments, and life cycle analysis (LCA).
• Strong background in regulatory compliance, including environmental permits, emissions reporting, and sustainability certifications.
• Experience leading sustainability initiatives in large-scale projects or corporate settings, with a track record of measurable impact.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in sustainability software, GIS tools, and data visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern environmental regulations and industry standards is a significant advantage.
