Key Responsibilities:

• Herd Health Management: Conduct regular inspections and implement comprehensive preventive care programs to maintain the health and productivity of the dairy herd.
• Clinical Expertise: Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of diseases, injuries, and health conditions in cattle, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
• Biosecurity and Disease Control: Develop and enforce vaccination protocols, biosecurity measures, and disease-control strategies to safeguard herd health and prevent outbreaks.
• Reproductive and Calving Support: Collaborate with farm teams to optimize reproductive health, calving management, and fertility monitoring to enhance herd productivity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with farm management, nutritionists, and other specialists to align veterinary practices with broader operational goals, ensuring seamless integration of animal health initiatives.
• Compliance and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed veterinary records and ensure full compliance with international animal welfare standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Staff Training and Development: Mentor and train farm staff on best practices in animal handling, health monitoring, and disease prevention to foster a culture of excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are seeking a qualified veterinarian with a proven track record in dairy farming and a deep commitment to animal health. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in farm animal practice, with a strong focus on dairy cattle management and herd health.
• In-depth knowledge of preventive medicine, herd health protocols, and disease control strategies tailored to dairy operations.
• Proven ability to diagnose and treat complex health issues while implementing evidence-based solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including farm managers, nutritionists, and technicians.
