Position Overview
The Inclusion & Diversity Specialist plays a pivotal role in cultivating an inclusive workplace culture by aligning strategic initiatives with hands-on operational execution. This position bridges the gap between high-level diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals and their practical implementation through employee engagement, facility branding, and HR support. As a key liaison, you will drive internal communications, orchestrate site-wide events, and ensure seamless coordination for external stakeholder engagements, fostering a cohesive and welcoming environment across the organization.
Core Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Strategic I&D Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement DEI programs that promote belonging, equity, and a sense of community among employees.
- Employee Resource Group (ERG) Support: Act as a liaison for ERGs, providing guidance and resources to enhance their impact while fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.
- Event Planning & Execution: Design, organize, and execute a diverse range of team-building activities, town halls, and company-wide celebrations to strengthen employee morale, connectivity, and engagement.
- Internal Communications: Curate and distribute an engaging internal newsletter that highlights company milestones, DEI achievements, and employee success stories, ensuring transparency and recognition across the organization.
- Facility Branding & Experience: Oversee site-wide facility branding initiatives to ensure the physical workspace authentically reflects the company’s mission, values, and commitment to inclusion.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Manage the logistics for high-profile site visits, including executives, government officials, and key customers, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment that aligns with the company’s brand.
- HR Administrative Support: Provide specialized administrative assistance for contractor hiring and onboarding processes, maintaining meticulous records and documentation for compliance and operational efficiency.
- Meeting & Facilities Management: Facilitate seamless meeting coordination by handling scheduling, agenda preparation, and facility arrangements to support productive discussions and decision-making.
Qualifications & Competencies
To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and skills:
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, coupled with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate, HR, or DEI-focused environment.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives for newsletters, announcements, and stakeholder communications.
- Organizational Agility: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, including event logistics, stakeholder visits, and administrative workflows, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
- Interpersonal Proficiency: High emotional intelligence and discretion, enabling comfortable and professional interactions with senior leadership, external partners, and diverse employee groups.
- Adaptability & Discretion: The ability to navigate sensitive conversations and maintain confidentiality while fostering an open and inclusive dialogue.
