Job Purpose

The Outbound Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all outbound logistics operations for Salehiya and its affiliates. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and timely distribution of pharmaceutical, medical, and healthcare products across Saudi Arabia. The role demands a keen focus on maintaining cold-chain integrity, adhering to GDP (Good Distribution Practices) standards, and driving operational excellence to support Salehiya Healthcare’s mission of delivering superior healthcare experiences. By implementing innovative logistics solutions and fostering cross-functional collaboration, the Outbound Logistics Manager ensures that products reach customers, partners, and healthcare providers with unmatched reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead and manage outbound logistics operations through a team of Outbound Logistics Supervisors, overseeing order fulfillment, dispatching, routing, transportation planning, fleet requirements, and delivery execution.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Outbound Logistics team, including Supervisors, Officers, Coordinators, and Delivery Representatives, to uphold high standards of productivity, compliance, documentation, and customer service throughout all transportation activities.
• Ensure full compliance of the fleet with cold-chain handling protocols, GDP standards, and regulatory requirements for the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical products.
• Implement operational controls and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service levels, delivery accuracy, and reporting systems to drive cost efficiency and operational excellence.
• Conduct regular performance management reviews and accompany delivery representatives on route rides to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reinforce a customer-centric mindset across the team.
• Collaborate with planning systems and relevant stakeholders to develop and execute the most optimal and efficient delivery plans, ensuring their accurate and timely completion.
• Coordinate closely with Warehousing, Inventory, Transport, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics operations and minimize disruptions.

Strategic Development & Innovation

• Develop and execute outbound logistics strategies that align with organizational goals, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Lead outbound logistics projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and scalability.
• Drive innovation in cold-chain logistics to improve product integrity, reduce waste, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
• Monitor fleet maintenance, fuel consumption, and temperature calibration to prevent breakdowns and ensure uninterrupted transit of sensitive healthcare products.
• Oversee the returns and recall processes, ensuring that rejected or returned medical products are collected by Delivery Representatives and processed accurately by the Outbound Officer in compliance with regulatory standards.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Manage relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and third-party providers to ensure alignment with service standards, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to resolve logistics challenges and optimize delivery performance.
• Represent Salehiya in industry forums and collaborate with regulatory bodies to stay updated on compliance requirements and best practices in healthcare logistics.
