Trade Marketing Representative Riyadh - Saudi Nationals only

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing Representative to join our team in Riyadh. This role is tailored for individuals based in Riyadh or those willing to relocate to the region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing our Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) operational plan, driving trade marketing initiatives, optimizing distribution channels, and enhancing brand visibility across key trade accounts and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

The Trade Marketing Representative will be accountable for the following core functions:

• Territory Evaluation and Opportunity Maximization: Continuously assess the assigned territory to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Cycle Plan Implementation: Execute all cycle plan activities with precision to meet trade marketing, distribution, and brand targets.
• Reporting and Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and timely reporting on all trade marketing activities, including:
  • Area Summary File
  • Trade Marketing Unit (TMU) data
  • Reconciliation reports (Rental, Retail Execution Plan (REP), Brand Activation (BA) activities)
  • Competitor analysis
  • Qualitative and quantitative surveys
• Trade Relationship Management: Foster strong partnerships with trade partners to secure their active support in driving volume growth and enhancing in-store brand presence within agreed budgets.
• Incentive Scheme Execution: Implement and provide feedback on trade incentive programs as outlined in the KSA operational plan to stimulate sales and engagement.
• In-Store Visibility and Awareness: Maximize the visibility and awareness of ALFAKHER brands through effective Trade Marketing & Distribution (TM&D) tools and merchandising strategies.
• Collaboration with Distributor Sales Force: Work closely with distributor teams to optimize distribution opportunities, reduce out-of-stock (OOS) situations, and ensure product availability.
• Performance Tracking: Meet and exceed TM&D Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the organization.
• Product Quality and Freshness: Ensure continuous product quality, freshness, and availability across all trade channels.
• Merchandising Compliance: Conduct merchandising activities to maintain in-store furniture in clean, functional condition and ensure adherence to agreed planograms.
• Resource Optimization: Secure and utilize trade marketing resources in the most effective and efficient manner to drive maximum impact.
• Stock Management: Maintain the integrity of Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) stock floats and ensure accurate reconciliation.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

• Nationality: Saudi Nationals only.
• Education: Preference will be given to bilingual (English and another language) graduates.
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in merchandising, trade marketing, or a similar role within an FMCG company, preferably with a trade marketing focus.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and internal stakeholders.
• Influencing Skills: Proven capability to influence and drive positive outcomes in a collaborative environment.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
• Organizational Abilities: Well-organized with excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Independence: Ability to work unsupervised with a high degree of accountability and initiative.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
