Role Overview

We are collaborating with a leading, confidential investment platform based in Saudi Arabia to recruit a seasoned Senior Investment Director. Key Responsibilities

The Investment Director will be responsible for end-to-end transaction management, from initial underwriting and due diligence to structuring, approvals, negotiations, and final closing. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:

• Transaction Leadership: Lead the evaluation, structuring, and execution of complex investment opportunities across real estate, funds, joint ventures, and special purpose vehicles (SPVs), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk parameters.
• Strategic Investment Management: Drive the investment strategy, capital deployment decisions, and value creation initiatives to optimize portfolio performance and long-term growth.
• Financial and Analytical Expertise: Oversee financial underwriting, valuation modeling, transaction structuring, and investment return analysis to inform data-driven decision-making and maximize returns.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present compelling investment recommendations and strategic updates to senior management, Investment Committees, and Boards, fostering alignment and securing approvals for high-value transactions.
• Negotiation and Execution: Lead negotiations with investors, developers, lenders, fund managers, and strategic partners to finalize terms, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless transaction execution.
• Governance and Risk Oversight: Provide strategic oversight of due diligence, governance frameworks, risk management, and transaction execution to uphold compliance and organizational integrity.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the investment ecosystem, including government entities, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and promoting best practices across the investment function.
• Portfolio Growth and Expansion: Support initiatives to expand the portfolio, explore new investment avenues, and enhance long-term investment performance in alignment with organizational goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions and investment activities adhere to governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s degree from a leading international institution is highly preferred.
• Professional Credentials: Must hold a CFA Charter or have completed CFA Level III, demonstrating advanced expertise in investment analysis and portfolio management.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, asset management, principal investments, or real estate investing, with a proven track record in transaction execution.
• Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of real estate investments, fund structures, joint ventures, SPVs, and transaction execution, with a strong grasp of the Saudi investment and real estate market dynamics.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis, supported by robust analytical and quantitative capabilities.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and executive communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, investors, and partners.
