Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at our Dammam-based center. This full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special needs. The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to enhance functional independence and participation in daily activities. The role requires close collaboration with a diverse team of professionals to ensure holistic care and support for each child and their family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct standardized assessments to identify children’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored intervention strategies.
  • Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate sensory integration, fine motor skills, and functional independence goals, using evidence-based practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behavior Therapists, Counselors, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care plans and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Parent and Caregiver Engagement: Educate and coach parents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home-based strategies, and developmental milestones to support their child’s progress beyond the clinic.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, document progress, and contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs) to track and evaluate each child’s development.
  • Case Reviews and Quality Improvement: Participate in regular case reviews, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric occupational therapy through continuing education.
  • Ethical and Professional Practice: Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest quality of care and maintain the trust of families and the community.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, with current licensure or eligibility for licensure as per local regulatory requirements.
  • Pediatric Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in Medicine and Pediatrics, with a deep understanding of developmental conditions, comorbidities, and holistic child health needs.
  • Clinical Skills: Proven expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for pediatric populations with developmental delays, neurological disorders, and learning disabilities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community partners, ensuring clear and accurate documentation of care.
  • Empathy and Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to demonstrate empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a child-centered, family-focused approach to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all children and families.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to maintaining clinical records, following evidence-based practices, and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
