Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Oncology Account Manager to join our team in the Eastern Region. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the launch and commercialization of GSK’s soon-to-be-released Hematology portfolio across your designated territory. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic stakeholder engagement, patient-centric detailing for healthcare professionals (HCPs), and ensuring the seamless availability of GSK’s Oncology products for cancer patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive sales performance, lead brand formulary enlistment initiatives, and secure expedited access in key accounts, all while contributing to the broader country brand and therapy area objectives.
Core Responsibilities
As the Oncology Account Manager, you will be accountable for achieving annual sales targets within your territory while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement commercial strategies. Your role will involve leading key activities that foster both personal and professional growth, including:
- Portfolio Launch and Market Penetration: Successfully introduce and establish GSK’s new Hematology portfolio in Saudi Arabia, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with Hematology Key External Experts (KEEs), healthcare institutions, and Oncology societies to drive advocacy and support patient care.
- Sales and Performance Management: Deliver on sales targets and Lead Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your territory, playing a critical role in achieving country-level brand and therapy area goals.
- Commercial Strategy Execution: Develop and execute a robust territory business plan that aligns with GSK’s commercial sales strategy, offering tailored solutions to HCPs as a trusted advisor.
- Product Performance Monitoring: Track product performance on a weekly and monthly basis, recommending and implementing corrective actions to optimize market impact.
- Marketing and Campaign Support: Contribute to marketing initiatives, including the development and rollout of new campaigns based on market insights, while ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory approvals.
- Market Intelligence and Forecasting: Develop market intelligence reports and initiate forecasting processes in collaboration with commercial trade channel and marketing teams to accurately reflect market demand.
- Patient Solutions and Supply Chain Coordination: Drive end-to-end patient solutions by coordinating with supply chain and commercial trade channel teams to ensure product availability and manage shelf life effectively.
- Tender and Market Access Collaboration: Work closely with the tender team to provide timely feedback on pricing proposals, RFQ follow-ups, and overall tender processes. Partner with the market access team to develop and implement access plans, establishing clear roadmaps for key accounts.
- HCP Engagement and Education: Conduct frequent and impactful external meetings with HCPs to enhance disease and product awareness, fostering a deeper understanding of GSK’s Oncology offerings.
- Resource Optimization: Prioritize efforts and resources through robust market segmentation and targeting strategies to maximize the impact of your activities.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain a strong commitment to GSK’s compliance standards, ensuring all activities adhere to prevailing codes, policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Build collaborative relationships based on trust, transparency, and integrity.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of performance.
- Certification: A valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialist (SCFHS) card is mandatory.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience in Oncology or Hematology is essential for external candidates. Internal candidates must demonstrate a consistent track record of high performance over the past two years, with at least two 'A' ratings or one 'A' and one 'B' rating.
- Nationality: This position is open exclusively to Saudi nationals.
