Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator Troubleshooter/Callback Technician to join our dynamic team at Bab Al Rida Technical Services in Dammam. In this critical role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining elevator systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in minimizing downtime, enhancing customer satisfaction, and upholding the highest standards of technical excellence in the elevator industry.

Key Responsibilities

• System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of elevator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, to identify malfunctions and root causes of issues.
• Repair and Maintenance: Perform timely and efficient repairs on elevators, escalators, and related systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications. Conduct routine maintenance to prevent potential failures and extend equipment lifespan.
• Callback Response: Respond promptly to service calls and callbacks, providing on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve issues. Maintain clear communication with clients to update them on repair progress and expected resolution times.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, industry standards, and local regulations to ensure the safe operation of elevator systems. Conduct safety checks and inspections as required.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports for management and clients, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate professionalism and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions that meet their operational needs.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with other technical teams, engineers, and supervisors to share insights, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices across projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Vocational training in elevator systems is highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in elevator installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a proven track record in callback and emergency response scenarios.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of elevator systems, including hydraulic, traction, and machine-room-less (MRL) elevators. Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, and elevator software is essential.
• Certifications: Valid elevator technician certification (e.g., ETS, NEIEA, or equivalent) is required. Additional certifications in safety protocols or specialized elevator systems are a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are critical.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at varying heights. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for travel to client sites.
