Steel Structures Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil / Structural Engineer specializing in Steel Structures to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, a proven track record in steel structure projects, and the ability to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions from design to execution. This role offers a full-time, on-site position with transportation provided, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals based in Riyadh.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Civil / Structural Engineering, with a focus on steel structures.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design, analysis, and execution of steel structures, including signage, hoarding, and metal façades.
• Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), structural calculations, and design notes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Strong capability in preparing and reviewing structural, executive, and shop drawings to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Experience in managing payment certificates and variation orders to maintain project financial and contractual integrity.
• Excellent coordination skills to collaborate effectively with consultants, contractors, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for design and documentation purposes.
• Familiarity with industry-standard structural analysis and design software, including ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
• Knowledge of Revit Structure, Tekla, or Primavera is considered a valuable asset.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Riyadh.

Core Responsibilities

As a Steel Structures Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and reviewing structural calculations for steel structures to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate BOQs, shop drawings, executive drawings, and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Reviewing project specifications, quantities, and technical requirements to identify and resolve potential discrepancies.
• Managing and reviewing payment certificates and variation orders to ensure accurate financial tracking and contractual adherence.
• Serving as a technical liaison between consultants, contractors, and site teams, facilitating clear communication and problem resolution.
• Ensuring that all structural and fabrication drawings are accurate, detailed, and suitable for execution.
• Providing technical support and guidance throughout the project execution stage to address challenges and optimize performance.
