Your Role as Senior Manager - Credit Risk

As the Senior Manager - Credit Risk, you will assume a pivotal position in safeguarding Tamara’s financial interests by effectively managing credit risk and mitigating fraudulent activities. This role is instrumental in developing and executing robust risk strategies, conducting comprehensive analyses, and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to uphold a secure and dependable financial ecosystem. The position is based in our Riyadh headquarters, offering an opportunity to lead impactful initiatives in a dynamic fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Risk Strategy: Develop, implement, and refine credit risk policies, strategies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Credit Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants using advanced credit scoring models, credit reports, and financial analysis to inform lending decisions.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage credit exposure, delinquency rates, and overall portfolio performance to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Risk Optimization: Continuously enhance risk and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while minimizing potential credit losses and fraudulent activities.
  • Fraud Prevention: Design and implement comprehensive fraud prevention strategies and controls to protect Tamara’s financial ecosystem and customers.
  • Transaction Monitoring: Analyze transactions and customer behavior to identify and mitigate signs of fraudulent activity, ensuring proactive risk management.
  • Investigative Collaboration: Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious transactions and collaborate with law enforcement agencies and internal teams as required to address fraudulent behavior.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry standards, working closely with the compliance team to address evolving regulatory requirements related to credit and fraud risk management.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to identify, assess, and mitigate credit and fraud risks, preparing regular reports and dashboards to communicate risk trends and performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and customer service teams to integrate risk management measures into product design and customer interactions, providing guidance on risk implications during new product development.
  • Customer Experience Alignment: Balance risk mitigation measures with a seamless and positive customer experience, ensuring transparent communication of risk policies and actions to customers.

Your Expertise

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of academic qualifications and professional experience, including:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, with a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CFE) considered a strong advantage.
  • Over eight years of progressive experience in credit risk management and fraud prevention, preferably within the fintech industry.
  • A deep understanding of credit scoring models, underwriting processes, and fraud detection methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and risk modeling, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Familiarity with risk management software and tools to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An analytical mindset coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
