About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team at Master-Works in Riyadh. This pivotal role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure solutions that drive operational excellence and support business growth. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in system architecture, cloud computing, and infrastructure management, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across our enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Develop and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures that align with business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate technology requirements and recommend innovative solutions.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms. Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between systems.
• Cloud Solutions: Lead the migration, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) to enhance agility, reduce costs, and improve disaster recovery capabilities. Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency. Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, ELK Stack) to maintain system health.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security measures, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments, to protect critical data and infrastructure. Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business strategies.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventive measures to minimize future disruptions. Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure rapid recovery.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring timely delivery of hardware, software, and support services. Act as a liaison between IT and business units to address infrastructure-related needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or CISSP) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in system and infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet). Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security frameworks (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership in driving IT projects and fostering team collaboration.
• Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
