About the Role

Master Works is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System & Infrastructure Senior Engineer to oversee, maintain, and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure. In this critical role, you will ensure the security, reliability, and high performance of our systems while driving operational excellence and supporting business continuity. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in server administration, virtualization, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

As a System & Infrastructure Senior Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of servers, systems, and infrastructure environments to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Operating System Expertise: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring optimal functionality and security across all platforms.
• Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure: Manage virtualized environments, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), and backup solutions to support scalable and resilient IT operations.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce infrastructure security controls, best practices, and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate risks.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex system and infrastructure issues with a methodical and analytical approach, minimizing disruption to business-critical services.
• Infrastructure Projects: Lead and support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and strategic projects to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure knowledge continuity and compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with network, security, and application teams to align infrastructure strategies with organizational goals and deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in systems and infrastructure engineering, with a proven track record in managing enterprise-level environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Windows and Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Specialized Skills: Experience with virtualization technologies, backup and disaster recovery solutions, high availability architectures, and infrastructure security best practices.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
