Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Design and Develop High-Performance KNIME Workflows: Create, maintain, and enhance scalable KNIME workflows to support end-to-end data processing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
• Lead ETL and Data Transformation Initiatives: Oversee Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, data preparation, and transformation activities to ensure high-quality, consistent, and reliable data outputs for analytical and operational use.
• Integrate KNIME with Enterprise Systems: Seamlessly connect KNIME workflows with diverse enterprise data sources, APIs, and services to facilitate unified data access and processing across the organization.
• Administer and Optimize KNIME Environments: Manage KNIME server environments, including deployment, configuration, and performance tuning, to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Support Platform Upgrades and Enhancements: Lead testing, deployment, and optimization efforts for KNIME upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with evolving technological and business needs.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues: Conduct root-cause analysis for workflow failures, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate risks and enhance system reliability.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, translating complex data requirements into actionable KNIME workflows and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Document and Transfer Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to empower team members with the skills and insights needed to leverage KNIME effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and strong interpersonal skills. We are seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: 3+ years of hands-on experience in KNIME workflow development, administration, and optimization. Deep knowledge of ETL processes, data preparation, and data quality assurance is essential.
• Programming and Integration Skills: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Groovy) and experience with system/data integration frameworks to enhance workflow automation and interoperability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve workflow efficiency and reliability.
• Process Adherence: Familiarity with ITIL-based Incident, Change, and Release management processes to ensure structured and compliant workflow governance.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, vendors, and business users.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, with the ability to travel to Riyadh or work offshore as project requirements dictate.
