Position Overview

Master Works is seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Senior System & Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting enterprise-wide architecture strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design & Strategy: Develop and define enterprise system and infrastructure architectures that support business growth and technological advancement. Create comprehensive infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and long-term technical roadmaps to guide future investments and initiatives.
• Multi-Environment Solutions: Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions that span on-premises data centers, public cloud platforms (such as Azure and AWS), and hybrid environments. Ensure seamless integration and interoperability across diverse technological landscapes.
• Technology Evaluation & Recommendation: Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership. Drive informed decision-making through rigorous analysis and benchmarking.
• Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce infrastructure security best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Design high-availability and disaster recovery frameworks to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
• Transformation & Migration Leadership: Lead end-to-end infrastructure transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, system upgrades, and integration projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute seamless transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide architectural direction and mentorship to engineering teams, reviewing technical designs and offering strategic insights to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively identify potential infrastructure risks, such as performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, or scalability limitations. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure resilience and business continuity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with security, network, application development, and business teams to align infrastructure strategies with organizational goals. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and collaboration.
• Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and best practices. Establish and enforce technical standards to ensure consistency, reliability, and ease of maintenance across the infrastructure landscape.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in systems and infrastructure architecture, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualization technologies, networking principles, storage systems, and operating systems. Familiarity with containerization, microservices, and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
• Security & Resilience: Proven experience in designing secure, high-availability, and disaster recovery infrastructure. Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and risk management methodologies.
• Architectural Frameworks: Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or COBIT. Ability to apply best practices to drive architectural decisions and governance.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Leadership qualities to inspire and guide technical teams toward achieving strategic objectives.
