Position Overview

Master Works is seeking a skilled and proactive Network & Infrastructure Technician to join our technical team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and IT infrastructure components to ensure seamless and reliable daily operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the organization’s technological backbone, enabling efficient connectivity and system performance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Network and Infrastructure Setup: Install, configure, and maintain essential network and infrastructure equipment, including routers, switches, access points, and related hardware components.
• System Monitoring and Performance: Continuously monitor network connectivity and system performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and connectivity issues with a methodical and analytical approach to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Routine Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct regular maintenance checks on infrastructure systems to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to industry standards.
• Network Upgrades and Migrations: Assist in the planning, execution, and support of network upgrades, installations, and migrations to enhance system capabilities and scalability.
• User Connectivity Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding network access, connectivity, and basic IT support requirements to maintain productivity.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including equipment inventories, configuration records, and troubleshooting logs to support audit trails and future reference.
• Escalation Management: Identify and escalate complex or high-priority issues to senior technical teams or external vendors for resolution, ensuring timely and effective problem management.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in network or IT infrastructure support, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and system maintenance.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and LAN/WAN architectures. Experience with network devices, structured cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting is essential.
• Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic IT support principles is required to assist users and maintain system integrity.
• Certifications: A CCNA certification or equivalent credential is highly preferred and demonstrates a commitment to professional development in networking technologies.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to effectively diagnose issues, document solutions, and interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Work Environment

This position is based at the client site, requiring the ability to work on-site as needed to perform duties related to network infrastructure, system maintenance, and user support. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic technical environment.
