Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting functions, including but not limited to:

• General Ledger Management: Overseeing journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including supporting schedules, to provide stakeholders with timely and reliable financial insights.
• Reconciliations and Compliance: Conducting thorough bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supporting the management of accounts payable and receivable processes to optimize cash flow and maintain strong vendor and customer relationships.
• Fixed Asset Accounting: Tracking and managing fixed assets, including depreciation calculations, asset registrations, and impairment reviews, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Tax and Audit Support: Assisting with Value-Added Tax (VAT) compliance, including ZATCA requirements, and providing support during internal and external audits to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.
• Policy and Standard Adherence: Ensuring full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), company accounting policies, and established internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of progressive experience in general accounting, with a proven track record in financial reporting and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and fundamental accounting principles, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Prior experience with ERP systems and accounting software is highly desirable, as it will enable you to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA are considered a significant advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence.
