Field Service Engineer

Your Role in a Nutshell

As a Field Service Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems. Your responsibilities will span across maintenance, outage management, and project execution, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including field technicians, site management, engineering specialists, and customers, to deliver exceptional results in power generation projects across Saudi Arabia and international markets. Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Outage Support: Execute maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, assembly, and disassembly activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and coordinate small to medium-sized field service teams, technicians, and subcontractors during outage and maintenance projects, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work alongside Site Leads, Service Engineering teams, and customers to identify solutions, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless project execution. Participate in customer meetings, prepare detailed service reports, and provide actionable technical recommendations.
• Project Planning & Execution: Support outage planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Manage spare parts and tooling requirements while maintaining strict compliance with quality, safety, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting: Review technical documentation, prepare comprehensive service reports, and deliver project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.

Your Qualifications & Skills

To thrive in this role, you will bring the following expertise and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, coupled with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in field service, power generation, heavy industry, or rotating equipment environments.
• A solid understanding of power plant operations, turbine and generator auxiliary systems, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead teams, prepare technical reports, and document project progress effectively.
• A willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%) across Saudi Arabia and internationally, with the flexibility to work demanding outage schedules, shifts, and extended hours as required.
• Familiarity with steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, outage execution, and industrial energy projects is highly advantageous, particularly with exposure to Siemens Energy standards.
