Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer II, Production Operations to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Engineer II, Production Operations will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to enhance production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and uphold safety protocols. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Production Operations Support & Coordination:
  • Execute daily operations for asphalt, crusher, and concrete plants in alignment with approved production plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient output.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics, including material consumption and production data, through systematic checks to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager and Mining Engineer to coordinate production schedules, ensuring optimal material availability and workflow continuity.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance activities during breakdowns and planned shutdowns to minimize downtime and maximize operational uptime.
  • Support product quality initiatives by adhering to established process parameters and working in tandem with the quality assurance team to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Compile and submit accurate daily and shift production reports, leveraging available data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and support to plant operators and helpers during shift operations to maintain a steady workflow and address any operational challenges promptly.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to foster a safe, productive, and legally compliant work environment.
  • Champion and enforce safety and security protocols across all production activities, prioritizing the protection of employees, contractors, and company assets.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned to support team objectives and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong technical background in production operations, coupled with a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Ideal candidates will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in production operations, preferably within the asphalt, mining, or construction materials industry.
• Proven ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE standards and a proactive approach to risk management and incident prevention.
• Proficiency in using production management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
• Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and relevant technical training are highly desirable.
