Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Project Management Office (PMO) Head to lead our PMO team and drive the successful execution of transformative projects. This critical role will play a pivotal part in aligning project initiatives with organizational objectives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and strict budgetary control. As a key leader within the organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish best practices, and implement robust processes that foster operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment and Reporting: Partner with the executive leadership team to present critical action items, project priorities, and progress updates. Ensure seamless alignment between project objectives and overarching business strategies through clear communication and comprehensive reporting mechanisms.
• Strategic Contribution: Serve as a core member of the strategy team, actively participating in the development and implementation of long-term organizational goals. Ensure that project management frameworks are fully integrated with business objectives to support growth initiatives and drive sustainable success.
• Performance Tracking and Optimization: Develop and implement an automated performance tracking system using the Microsoft Power Platform to monitor over 60 projects through key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuously evaluate project outcomes and refine strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Agile Transformation Leadership: Spearhead the integration of Agile methodologies across all projects, ensuring a smooth and effective adoption process. Lead and mentor a team of Agile Ambassadors to disseminate Agile best practices, foster continuous improvement, and cultivate a culture of adaptability and innovation.
• Methodology Governance: Maintain the integrity of project management frameworks, ensuring consistent application across all initiatives. Monitor adherence to established methodologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and outcomes.
• Process Audits and Improvements: Conduct regular management audits of active projects to verify alignment with industry best practices, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to streamline processes and enhance performance.
• Talent Development and Recruitment: Champion talent development by organizing knowledge-sharing sessions for emerging project managers to deepen their understanding of the company’s project management processes. Actively engage in the recruitment process to identify and onboard qualified project management professionals who align with the company’s vision and values.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred. Additional certifications such as Agile, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2 are considered advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity overseeing a PMO function.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in managing software development projects, including both Agile and waterfall methodologies. Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, or equivalent platforms is essential.
• Industry Background: Extensive experience working within software development or IT-driven environments, with a proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and alignment across diverse teams.
