Maintenance (Saudi only)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities by addressing guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and upholding high standards of safety and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Communication: Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues. Ensure all interactions with guests are professional, courteous, and solution-oriented.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Perform repairs on a wide range of systems such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical components, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic controls.
• Equipment & System Maintenance: Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility systems. Test, troubleshoot, and repair various types of equipment, including lamps, vacuum cleaners, extension cords, and guestroom items. Replace electrical switches, outlets, and perform minor carpentry and drywall repairs.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety policies, including the proper use of the Lockout/Tagout system. Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately. Complete all required safety training and certifications. Properly store flammable materials and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Inventory & Administrative Duties: Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed, and document daily activities and issues for shift handovers. Utilize basic computer skills to input air handler schedules, adjust temperatures, and manage work-related information.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks requiring physical strength, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform bending, twisting, and stooping movements. Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Team Collaboration & Professionalism: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals. Communicate clearly and professionally, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
• Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, including interior and exterior surface preparation and painting. Prior experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various equipment and systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment.
