Key Responsibilities
In this critical role, you will:
- Analyze and refine field support requirements to ensure optimal tooling and test equipment alignment with operational needs, enhancing mission readiness.
- Establish and validate calibration protocols for field systems and equipment, guaranteeing adherence to rigorous maintenance standards across all phases of shipbuilding and sustainment.
- Conduct maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for stakeholders, showcasing technical expertise and fostering trust in our processes.
- Evaluate technical documentation—including handbooks and manuals—for accuracy, completeness, and usability, ensuring they meet the highest industry and regulatory benchmarks.
- Collaborate on logistics and maintenance engineering initiatives, contributing to the development of innovative support strategies that streamline operations and reduce downtime.
- Support proposal development efforts by providing technical insights and ensuring alignment with customer requirements, particularly for the LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) Program.
- Leverage deep knowledge of Navy systems and equipment to research and configure data within the MBPS (Maintenance and Business Planning System), ensuring seamless integration into shipboard databases.
- Engage directly with U.S. Navy stakeholders to resolve complex logistics and maintenance challenges, bridging technical expertise with operational needs.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with 9 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of professional experience, OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications, Navy systems documentation, and equipment configurations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, Navy personnel, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with MBPS (Maintenance and Business Planning System) and a working knowledge of shipboard compartment arrangements and Navy equipment configurations across various ship classes.
