Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to join our expanding team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in designing, coordinating, and managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects. Your responsibilities will encompass collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems while adhering to stringent local and international building standards. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional organizational capabilities, and the proficiency to manage complex projects from inception to completion with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Development: Design and develop comprehensive MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing networks, utilizing industry-leading software and tools to ensure optimal performance and compliance with project specifications.
• Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for MEP systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all stakeholders involved in the project lifecycle.
• Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with architectural and structural teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly, resolving design conflicts and technical challenges through collaborative problem-solving to achieve optimal building performance.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for MEP components and installations, providing accurate financial insights to support project planning and execution.
• Site Supervision and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough site inspections and supervise MEP installations to verify compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest level of workmanship.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to facilitate smooth project execution, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and documentation comply with Saudi building codes, regulations, and international standards, maintaining the highest levels of safety, sustainability, and performance.
• Project Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized project files, documentation, and records for audit and reference purposes, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical Contributions: Participate in project meetings, providing expert technical input on MEP-related matters to support informed decision-making and project success.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Analyze energy efficiency opportunities and recommend sustainable MEP solutions that align with environmental goals and regulatory requirements, contributing to the development of eco-friendly infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in MEP engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MEP design software, particularly AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit, with a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing design principles.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to MEP systems, ensuring compliance with local and international requirements.
• BIM Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and coordination, leveraging technology to enhance project outcomes and collaboration.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail, enabling effective resolution of technical challenges and optimization of MEP systems.
• Project Management: Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MEP projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia, with a deep understanding of local construction practices and regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with Saudi building codes and local construction practices, ensuring seamless integration of projects within the regional context.
• Experience in energy modeling and sustainability analysis, contributing to the development of environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions.
• Knowledge of construction cost estimation and project budgeting, providing valuable insights to support financial planning and resource allocation.
