Accounting Manager – Lead Financial Excellence in Saudi Construction & Infrastructure

This position is designed for a seasoned finance professional with a deep expertise in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, where precision, strategic insight, and compliance are paramount. As the leader of our accounting team, you will drive financial integrity, optimize project profitability, and ensure seamless alignment with international and local regulatory standards.

In this strategic role, you will oversee all facets of financial accounting, from monthly closings and management reporting to statutory compliance under IFRS and Group policies. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing project accounting complexities, including Work-in-Progress (WIP), accruals, provisions, and cost allocation, while ensuring accurate revenue recognition under IFRS 15 for construction contracts. This includes handling variations, claims, change orders, contract assets/liabilities, and unbilled revenue with meticulous attention to detail.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Contracts, Project Controls, Procurement, and Project Management, to ensure that financial reporting and forecasting are both accurate and actionable. Additionally, you will oversee subcontractor and supplier accounting, managing advances, retentions, accruals, certifications, payments, and reconciliations to maintain liquidity and working capital. Your expertise will also extend to driving accounts receivable collections and project cash-flow management, identifying opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance is non-negotiable in this position. You will ensure strict adherence to ZATCA, VAT, Zakat/tax, GOSI, and other Saudi statutory requirements, while managing both internal and external audits with rigor. Your leadership will reinforce financial governance and internal controls across all project and corporate operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within our SAP ERP system. Beyond compliance, you will champion continuous improvement, advocating for automation and standardization of accounting processes to elevate operational excellence.

Your strategic insights will empower senior management with timely financial intelligence, including project performance metrics, margins, cash flow analysis, risk assessment, and emerging financial trends.
