Field Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Assistant to support our Exploration Field programs under the guidance of the Field Supervisor. This role is critical to the success of our field operations, encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities essential for data collection, site maintenance, and project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a commitment to safety, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, multinational team environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Assistant will be responsible for executing a variety of field-based tasks, including but not limited to:

• Sample Collection and Processing: Conduct trench sampling, drillcore cutting, and sampling, as well as RC (Reverse Circulation) sampling to ensure accurate and timely data acquisition.
• Geophysical and Topographic Surveys: Assist in geophysical ground surveys and topographic surveying to support exploration and mapping activities.
• Downhole Surveys and Monitoring: Perform downhole surveys and water monitoring to gather critical subsurface data.
• Core Handling and Maintenance: Manage core tray handling and maintain the core yard to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to mitigate risks and promote sustainable practices.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, the successful candidate must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

• Education: A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding a relevant diploma qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant field experience, with a proven track record in geophysical ground surveys and field-based exploration programs, including RC, Diamond, and trenching operations.
• Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multinational teams, fostering strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with field equipment and surveying tools, along with a solid understanding of safety and environmental standards.
• Licensing: A full driving license to facilitate mobility and logistical support for field operations.
