Project Hydrogeologist – Senior Hydro Test Engineer

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing hydrostatic testing processes for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project timelines. Reporting directly to the PMO Group Leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results while maintaining rigorous safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive hydro test packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards. Oversee test progress, coordinate reinstatement activities, and ensure seamless execution of hydrostatic testing protocols.
• System Setup & Coordination: Lead the installation, configuration, and operation of hydro test systems. Coordinate flushing and drying activities to prepare systems for testing, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
• Prioritization & Scheduling: Collaborate with project stakeholders to prioritize and schedule hydro tests, balancing resource allocation with project deadlines. Provide expert input to optimize testing workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with pre-commissioning teams, engineering, and construction groups to ensure alignment on testing methodologies and outcomes. Communicate effectively in business-level English to facilitate seamless coordination across diverse teams.
• Quality & Compliance Assurance: Adhere to industry best practices and project-specific guidelines to deliver flawless hydro test results. Ensure all testing activities meet safety, environmental, and performance standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in piping construction management, with a strong focus on plant EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Demonstrated expertise in pressure/hydro test execution and test package management is essential.
• Proven ability to work in overseas project sites, particularly in the Middle East, with a willingness to relocate to Dammam, Saudi Arabia for an extended period.
• Excellent technical knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures, pressure system integrity, and reinstatement protocols.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage complex testing scenarios and drive project success.
• Fluency in business-level English to facilitate effective communication with international teams and stakeholders.
