Maintenance Technician – Full-Time Position

Join our esteemed team as a Maintenance Technician at our premier facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to ensure operational excellence, enhance guest satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of facility management. As a key member of our Engineering & Facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining seamless operations, resolving technical challenges, and delivering exceptional service.

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for responding to and resolving guest repair requests with professionalism and efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of our property, ensuring that both mechanical and kitchen systems operate optimally. You will perform preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of tools and equipment, while also managing inventory and requisitioning parts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest and Customer Support: Communicate effectively with guests and customers to promptly address and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical systems, and HVAC units to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of technical areas, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical operations, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various systems and appliances, from plumbing fixtures to electrical components.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, including the use of the Lockout/Tagout system, and ensure compliance with local regulations. Report any safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Inventory and Logistics: Maintain accurate records of maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies to minimize operational disruptions.
• Guest Interaction and Service Excellence: Welcome and acknowledge guests with a professional demeanor, anticipate their needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Provide genuine appreciation and ensure all interactions align with company standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and communicate daily activities and challenges to other shifts using approved systems. Engage in clear, professional communication both internally and with guests.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks requiring physical agility, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier loads with assistance. Navigate various terrains, including stairs, ramps, and ladders, and perform overhead and below-knee tasks.
• Additional Duties: Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, and general housekeeping tasks. Conduct landscaping maintenance, including repairs to interior and exterior areas and external sprinkler systems. Utilize basic computer skills to manage schedules and adjust temperature settings.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, including exterior and interior surface preparation and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license required.
• Skills: Proficiency in a variety of technical disciplines, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
