Key Responsibilities

In this impactful role, your responsibilities will include:

• Architect and Scale Backend Systems: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for Fintech, Checkout, Promotions, Loyalty, and Payment systems, ensuring they handle high traffic, failures, and asynchronous workloads with precision.
• Develop High-Performance Code: Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance production code that adheres to best practices in software engineering, with a focus on long-term maintainability and readability.
• API and Integration Design: Develop and evolve RESTful APIs and integrations with internal platforms, payment gateways, and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
• Distributed Systems Expertise: Design and implement distributed systems that prioritize scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance, leveraging asynchronous processing, messaging, and caching to optimize performance.
• Architectural Leadership: Drive key architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence, contributing to technical design reviews, RFCs, and engineering planning.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize application performance across services, databases, caching layers, queues, and background workers to ensure peak efficiency.
• Observability and Reliability: Ensure services are production-ready through robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices, maintaining high standards of reliability and uptime.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests while upholding rigorous engineering standards through collaborative code reviews.
• AI-Assisted Development: Responsibly leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance development, debugging, testing, documentation, and code reviews, accelerating delivery without compromising quality.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by sharing technical expertise, guiding design discussions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to deployment and ongoing production support.
• Engineering Excellence: Champion continuous improvement in system reliability, developer experience, and engineering standards, elevating the team’s technical capabilities.
