As a CDZ Operations Specialist at DHL, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex operational workflows, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations, and enhancing efficiency across our supply chain processes. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics planners, customs specialists, and regional managers, to resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Operational Coordination: Oversee and coordinate daily operations within the CDZ (Customs-Duty Free Zone) to ensure smooth transit of goods, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Customs and Regulatory Compliance: Act as a liaison between DHL teams and customs authorities, ensuring all documentation and processes align with local and international trade regulations.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in current operations and propose data-driven solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and customer service, as well as external partners such as freight forwarders and government agencies.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of shipments, track performance metrics, and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in customs or trade compliance are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations, customs clearance, or supply chain management, preferably in a cross-border or CDZ environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with trade compliance tools and customs documentation is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic and English is essential. Additional languages are a significant advantage.
