Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design & Optimization: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions using cloud-native technologies, ensuring high availability and performance for MinIO’s storage systems.
• Automation & DevOps: Develop and implement automation pipelines for deployment, monitoring, and incident response, reducing manual intervention and minimizing human error.
• Incident Management: Lead on-call rotations to respond to and resolve critical incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal impact on users while continuously improving incident response processes.
• Monitoring & Observability: Design and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they affect users.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with engineering teams to define best practices, share expertise, and mentor junior engineers in SRE principles and methodologies.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements, protecting data integrity and user trust.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in cloud-native storage solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Linux systems, scripting (Bash, Python), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a must.
• Monitoring & Tooling: Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar, along with logging solutions like ELK Stack or Loki.
• Incident Response: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues, analyze logs, and implement solutions under pressure. Experience with incident management tools like PagerDuty or Opsgenie is a plus.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
