Join Accor as a Cost Controller and Drive Financial Excellence in a Dynamic Global Environment
At Accor, we believe in empowering professionals to shape their careers while contributing to a legacy of innovation and hospitality excellence. As a Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making across our dynamic organization. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will drive sustainable growth and financial integrity.
In this strategic role, you will lead the development and implementation of robust cost control systems designed to monitor expenditures, enhance financial transparency, and uncover opportunities for continuous improvement. Your analytical acumen and proactive mindset will be instrumental in transforming raw financial data into actionable insights, empowering leadership teams to make informed, data-driven decisions that align with our global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Cost Control Systems: Design and deploy comprehensive cost control frameworks to ensure accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of financial performance across all operational areas.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics. Present findings to senior management with clear, strategic recommendations to optimize resource allocation and mitigate financial risks.
- Budget Management and Forecasting: Collaborate closely with department heads to establish, monitor, and refine departmental budgets. Participate in forecasting initiatives and long-term financial planning to align financial strategies with organizational goals and market trends.
- Inventory and Compliance Oversight: Oversee regular inventory reconciliations and physical counts to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize operational inefficiencies. Ensure strict adherence to company policies, international accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements to uphold financial integrity.
- Cost Optimization and Process Improvement: Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives by evaluating operational processes, negotiating vendor contracts, and implementing best practices. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments to assess feasibility and potential ROI.
- Financial Documentation and Training: Maintain meticulous financial records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for audits and compliance purposes. Provide training and mentorship to staff on cost control methodologies, fostering a culture of financial responsibility and efficiency.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work seamlessly within cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with broader business objectives. Leverage your expertise to challenge the status quo, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to the evolution of Accor’s financial governance framework.
Why This Role Matters:
As a Cost Controller at Accor, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, where precision meets innovation. Your role is critical in ensuring that every resource is utilized effectively, enabling us to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences while maintaining financial sustainability. Whether you're analyzing quarterly financial statements, leading budget negotiations, or implementing cost-saving strategies, your work will directly contribute to the success of our global brand.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a proven track record in cost control, financial management, or a related discipline. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent diploma with extensive experience). Professional certifications such as CMA or CIMA are highly valued.
- 3+ years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or budget management, with a preference for candidates familiar with hospitality or multinational corporate environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data modeling, pivot tables, and financial forecasting tools. Experience with financial management software (e.g., Futurelog, Opera) is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, enabling you to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Additional languages, particularly Arabic, are a plus, given our regional focus in Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant international experience.
- A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
At Accor, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every individual’s unique perspective is valued.
