Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor MRICS, your responsibilities will include:

• Pre-Contract Cost Leadership: Lead and deliver comprehensive pre-contract cost management services, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
• Client-Centric Engagement: Foster long-term relationships with clients by providing transparent, high-quality cost advice and deliverables, adhering to Gleeds’ rigorous standards and procedures.
• Cost Planning and Estimating: Develop and validate detailed cost plans and estimates, leveraging industry benchmarks and local market knowledge to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Strategic Reporting: Prepare and present insightful reports to clients, highlighting key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making.
• Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify and escalate potential project risks or challenges to directors promptly, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are implemented.
• Innovative Problem-Solving: Apply creative and realistic solutions to complex cost challenges, driving value and efficiency in project delivery.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in pre-contract quantity surveying, including at least 2 years of experience in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will:

• Possess MRICS Chartered Status: Hold a recognized chartered qualification, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence and industry best practices.
• Specialise in Pre-Contract Services: Bring extensive experience in cost planning, estimating, and benchmarking, with a focus on high-value building and mixed-use developments.
• Leverage Saudi Arabia Expertise: Have hands-on experience working within the Saudi Arabian market, understanding local regulatory frameworks, procurement methods, and cost dynamics.
• Collaborate with Top-Tier Consultancies: Have prior experience with leading cost consultancies, where precision, innovation, and client trust are paramount.
• Excel in Communication: Demonstrate fluent English language skills, both orally and in writing, to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Educational Background: Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, reinforcing a strong foundation in cost management principles.
