الوصف الوظيفي

Director of Hardware Engineering – Lead the Future of High-Density AI Infrastructure

Are you a visionary hardware engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of computational density and thermal innovation? We are seeking a seasoned Director of Hardware Engineering to architect and oversee the end-to-end development of our cutting-edge think AI Node line—a revolutionary platform designed to redefine performance, efficiency, and scalability in AI-driven infrastructure. This role demands a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of thermal, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines, ensuring our hardware delivers unparalleled density while maintaining reliability at scale.

In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the hardware roadmap for our Node line, spanning desk-side to rack-scale deployments. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining the thermal architecture—from sealed-loop cooling systems and heat exchange pathways to advanced flow distribution and pressure monitoring—eliminating thermal bottlenecks that traditionally limit high-density computing. You will establish rigorous engineering standards, including design reviews, simulation validation, thermal qualification, leak testing, and supplier qualification protocols, ensuring every prototype and production unit meets the highest benchmarks before field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will extend beyond technical execution to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will:

  • Own the hardware roadmap with a focus on thermal, electrical, and mechanical innovation, ensuring our AI Nodes achieve unprecedented computational density while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Design and implement advanced thermal solutions, including single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling systems, interface materials, manifold designs, and pump redundancy, to sustain performance under extreme workloads.
  • Set and enforce engineering standards, including design reviews, simulation gates (e.g., Fluent, SolidWorks Flow, OpenFOAM), thermal qualification, and supplier validation to guarantee reliability and manufacturability.
  • Lead failure analysis and corrective action processes, ensuring rapid resolution of field issues and a proactive approach to quality control.
  • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, comprising experts in thermal, electrical, mechanical, firmware, and validation engineering, while identifying and nurturing future leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering to optimize the telemetry interface between hardware and the Intelligent Load Manager (ILM), bridging the gap between physical and digital systems.
  • Partner with supply chain and manufacturing to streamline production, qualify suppliers, and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising performance or quality.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a tenacious, results-driven leader with:

  • Over a decade of experience in hardware engineering, including at least four years leading multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments.
  • Deep expertise in two or more of the following domains:
    • High-density accelerated compute systems
    • Liquid cooling at scale for data centers or HPC environments
    • Data center hardware architecture
    • Custom mechanical and electrical chassis design for multi-kilowatt power delivery
  • Proven track record in taking hardware from concept through simulation, prototyping, verification, qualification, and volume production.
  • Fluency in thermal management, including heat transfer principles, single/two-phase liquid cooling, interface materials, manifold design, and pump selection with redundancy.
  • Electrical and mechanical acumen, with experience in high-power delivery systems, vibration analysis, sealing technologies, and manufacturability constraints.
  • A hands-on, collaborative mindset, comfortable working alongside engineers on the workshop floor, auditing suppliers, and engaging directly with customers to drive solutions.
  • Eligibility to relocate to Riyadh, with a willingness to contribute to our mission in this dynamic regional hub.

Why Join Us?

As one of the region’s first deep-tech companies, we are pioneering foundational AI infrastructure from the ground up. In this role, you will:

  • Own meaningful, high-impact initiatives at an early stage, shaping the future of AI hardware with direct influence over product direction and innovation.
  • Collaborate with a small, elite team of senior engineers, tackling complex challenges at the intersection of hardware, systems, and AI.
  • Benefit from competitive early-stage compensation, reflecting the scale of your contributions and the potential of our vision.
  • Work on problems that redefine industry standards, where your expertise will drive breakthroughs in computational density, energy efficiency, and scalability.

If you are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead hardware innovation, we invite you to apply and help us build the next generation of AI infrastructure.
