Document Controller – Key Role in the Development of King Salman International Airport

As a Document Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless document management for one of the most ambitious airport projects in the world. Reporting to the Project Document Manager, this position demands precision, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous standards in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. You will be instrumental in upholding Bechtel’s reputation for excellence by managing critical documentation workflows, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Your Impact

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Lead document management operations within a sophisticated Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) such as Aconex and Unifier, ensuring seamless integration and efficient workflows across the project lifecycle.
• Develop and refine document control processes tailored to the unique demands of large-scale infrastructure projects, including the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems that support project documentation, compliance, and record retention.
• Ensure adherence to global standards by conducting internal audits and monitoring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 19650, as well as Bechtel’s internal policies and project-specific requirements. Your vigilance will help mitigate risks and maintain the highest levels of operational integrity.
• Oversee data accuracy and integrity by reviewing documentation for precision, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining meticulous records of project deliverables—from initial planning to final execution.
• Support the lifecycle management of project documents, including registration, distribution, transmission, and archival, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the most current and relevant information.
• Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to align document control strategies with project objectives, fostering transparency and efficiency in decision-making processes.
• Contribute to the development of work instructions, plans, and procedures that enhance operational workflows and support the project’s long-term success.
