Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Conduct Proactive Safety Assessments: Perform regular safety inspections and risk assessments across hospital departments to identify potential hazards and recommend actionable solutions.

  • Support Emergency Preparedness: Collaborate with emergency response teams to develop, test, and refine disaster preparedness plans, conducting drills to enhance readiness.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor adherence to local health and safety regulations, hospital policies, and industry standards, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in healthcare safety operations, with a deep understanding of hospital-specific risks and emergency response protocols.
  • Expertise in accident investigation, including root-cause analysis, incident reporting, and the development of preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Strong security-related skills, including risk assessment, access control awareness, and coordination with security personnel to enhance overall safety.
