Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will encompass a strategic blend of financial oversight and process enhancement:

• Lead Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Strategic Reporting: Develop and refine financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations to provide actionable insights for leadership. Your analyses will support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
• System Optimization: Design and implement structured Excel-based financial tracking and reporting systems, elevating transparency and scalability. Streamline workflows, internal controls, and accounting procedures to align with BARIQ ARABIA’s evolving needs.
• Budgetary and Cash Flow Management: Prepare comprehensive budgets, cash flow projections, and expense analyses to monitor financial health and forecast future performance. Your expertise will ensure alignment with organizational goals and resource allocation.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable and General Ledger: Manage AP/AR processes and general ledger activities with precision, ensuring timely payments, accurate receivables tracking, and seamless financial documentation.
• Compliance and Closing Processes: Oversee month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all financial statements are prepared in accordance with international accounting standards and Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting efficiency, reduce redundancies, and improve reporting accuracy. Propose scalable solutions that adapt to BARIQ ARABIA’s growth trajectory.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—including operations, procurement, and project management—to ensure seamless financial data integration and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this dynamic role, you will bring:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a strong preference for candidates holding advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in financial reporting, internal controls, and process optimization. Experience in a manufacturing or infrastructure-focused environment is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and the creation of dynamic financial dashboards and templates. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) is a plus.
• Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive operational and strategic decisions.
• Attention to Detail: Unwavering precision in maintaining financial records, reconciliations, and compliance documentation to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy.
