Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following core tasks:

• Firmware Development: Design, develop, test, and debug firmware for embedded systems using industry-standard tools and methodologies. Leverage your knowledge of C/C++ and assembly language to create robust, efficient, and scalable firmware solutions.
• Hardware-Software Integration: Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless interaction between firmware and embedded systems. Optimize performance, power consumption, and real-time responsiveness to meet project requirements.
• System Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of embedded systems by refining algorithms, reducing latency, and enhancing resource utilization. Implement best practices in firmware design to ensure reliability and fault tolerance.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve firmware-related issues through systematic debugging techniques. Utilize tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and simulation software to diagnose and rectify problems efficiently.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for firmware code, design decisions, and technical specifications. Ensure clarity and consistency in documentation to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience with embedded systems development. Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, AVR, PIC) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or Zephyr.
• Tools and Technologies: Experience with embedded development tools such as GCC, Keil, IAR, and debugging tools like JTAG, SWD, and logic analyzers. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and build automation tools (e.g., Make, CMake).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering efficient and reliable solutions. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers.
