الوصف الوظيفي

Join Lucid’s Visionary Team as a Water Leak Technician in Chassis Engineering

At Lucid, we are pioneering the future of mobility by delivering groundbreaking electric vehicles that seamlessly blend cutting-edge performance with uncompromising sustainability. Our proprietary technology and software-defined architecture empower us to redefine automotive excellence, setting new benchmarks in innovation, design, and engineering. As a Water Leak Technician within our Chassis team at Lucid’s Advanced Manufacturing Platform 2 (AMP2) in King Abdullah Economic City (KSA), you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our vehicles by diagnosing, investigating, and resolving water leak issues—both in development and production environments.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, fast-paced team where your expertise will directly influence the reliability and quality of Lucid’s award-winning vehicles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including NVH Engineers, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Quality, to proactively address water leak challenges and optimize sealing processes before they impact production or customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, vests, shoes, gloves, and hard hats as required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in alignment with Lucid’s 6S standards.
  • Water Leak Testing and Diagnosis: Execute rigorous water leak testing protocols on both static and dynamic vehicle components using advanced equipment, including spray booths and pressure decay systems. Utilize your technical expertise to localize leak sources and entry points through systematic investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth trials and tests to confirm the root causes of water leaks, including component disassembly, reassembly, and cross-checking. Collaborate with NVH Engineers to analyze data using methodologies such as order tracking, FFT analysis, and transfer path analysis to validate countermeasures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, and Repair Teams to address water leak issues identified during Pre-Delivery Inspections and Lucid Customer Product Audits. Provide technical support for field issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Document testing procedures, results, and findings to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing. Maintain equipment, tools, and instruments in optimal condition while providing feedback to manufacturing teams to enhance sealing processes and adhesive applications.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train new hires from Quality and Production teams on vehicle inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and repair procedures for water leak issues throughout the product lifecycle, from launch phase to mass production.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Leverage your analytical skills to identify creative solutions for complex water leak challenges. Lead initiatives to improve leak performance and contribute to the overall reliability of Lucid’s vehicles.

Why This Role Matters

As a Water Leak Technician at Lucid, you will be part of a team that refuses to compromise on quality or innovation. Your work will directly impact the durability and performance of Lucid’s vehicles, ensuring that every car delivered to our customers meets the highest standards of excellence. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to be part of a movement that is reshaping the automotive industry and driving the world toward a sustainable future.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a passion for automotive engineering and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Education: A diploma or degree from an Industrial School, with a focus on Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Experience in a greenfield plant is highly advantageous. Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in water leak testing and diagnosis is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with water leak testing equipment, measurement tools, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with Electrical Vehicle (EV) water leak testing methodologies and NVH testing protocols, including FFT analysis and transfer path analysis.
  • Communication and Leadership: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex issues across all levels of the organization.
  • Soft Skills: A creative, energetic, and self-motivated mindset with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

At Lucid, we offer a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program designed to support your professional growth and personal well-being. Join us in creating the future of mobility—where innovation meets integrity.
