In this role, you will operate and oversee high-speed can decorating equipment, including feeders, coaters, and ovens, to produce visually stunning and defect-free products. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring seamless production workflows while adhering to strict deadlines and quality protocols. Whether troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, or conducting in-process quality checks, your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reputation of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and Monitor Decorating Equipment: Skillfully manage high-speed can decorating machinery, including feeders, coaters, and ovens, to guarantee optimal performance and superior print quality on every can.
• Precision Setup and Adjustments: Perform routine setup, adjustments, and changeovers of machinery in accordance with production specifications and job orders to minimize downtime and maximize output.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough in-process quality checks, including color matching, print registration, and defect identification. Make real-time adjustments to ensure every product meets our exacting standards before it proceeds to the next stage.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical and operational issues with decorating equipment to reduce downtime and maintain smooth production flow. Follow scheduled preventative maintenance protocols to keep machinery in peak condition.
• Material Handling: Safely load and unload raw materials such as ink, coatings, and cans, as well as finished products, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal waste.
• Data Accuracy and Reporting: Maintain precise production records, including downtime, waste, and output data, to support continuous improvement initiatives and operational transparency.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to create a secure and compliant work environment.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Uphold a clean and well-organized work area to promote efficiency, safety, and a professional manufacturing environment.
• Collaborative Communication: Work closely with supervisors, maintenance teams, and colleagues to address production challenges, share insights, and ensure seamless coordination across departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates possess:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in machinery operation within a manufacturing or printing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on decorating equipment, ensuring minimal disruptions to production.
• A keen eye for detail, particularly in color matching, print quality, and defect identification, to uphold our commitment to excellence.
• The ability to read and interpret production specifications and job orders accurately, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and interaction with machine interfaces, enabling efficient record-keeping and process monitoring.
• The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where repetitive tasks and high-volume production demand focus, adaptability, and resilience.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform duties in a manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
• A commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks while maintaining the highest production standards.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required to support continuous production operations.
