We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee – IT Infrastructure and Operations to join our growing team. • Mastering Networking Fundamentals: Gain practical experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure, performance monitoring, and the configuration of critical network devices such as switches, routers, and access points. Troubleshoot connectivity issues with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless operations across our digital ecosystem.
• Server and Systems Administration: Assist in the setup, maintenance, and optimization of server systems under close supervision, ensuring high availability and reliability for our enterprise applications.
• Active Directory and User Management: Learn to manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, aligning with our stringent security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and resources.
• First-Level Technical Support: Provide proactive and responsive support to end-users, addressing issues related to desktops, printers, and peripherals. Follow up on Helpdesk/ticketing requests with diligence, resolving basic technical challenges to enhance user productivity.
• Documentation and Compliance: Document recurring support issues, resolutions, and network performance metrics to create a knowledge base that benefits the entire team. Familiarize yourself with cybersecurity and compliance requirements, adhering to frameworks established by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) and Digital Government Authority (DGA).
• IT Asset and Backup Management: Participate in IT asset inventory and documentation, ensuring accurate records of systems and procedures. Support backup operations and monitor performance logs to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Contribute to the preparation of basic reports and dashboards, offering actionable insights that support the strategic goals of our IT department.
• Governance and Policy Alignment: Understand and contribute to the implementation of infrastructure management policies and IT governance procedures, aligning our operations with industry best practices.

Qualifications and Attributes

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Final-year students are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP concepts, and have a foundational understanding of operating systems.
• Familiar with systems administration and Active Directory concepts—any prior experience is a significant advantage.
