As a key member of the Medical Department, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Metabolic Field Team and play a critical role in elevating Novo Nordisk’s scientific influence in Saudi Arabia. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing tailored medical engagement strategies, strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring our portfolio of innovative therapies reaches those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities

Your strategic contributions will include:

• Medical and Scientific Leadership: Maintain and expand your expertise across Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic portfolio, staying ahead of industry trends, competitor developments, and emerging scientific advancements to deliver evidence-based insights.
• Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement: Build and nurture high-impact relationships with KOLs and emerging experts, designing and executing personalized engagement plans that align with medical priorities. Ensure these leaders are well-informed about the clinical relevance and scientific foundation of our therapies, fostering trust and collaboration.
• Education and Knowledge Dissemination: Develop and facilitate educational initiatives, including symposia, meetings, and seminars, to empower healthcare providers with actionable insights. Present at local and international conferences, amplifying Novo Nordisk’s thought leadership in cardiometabolic care.
• Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration: Identify and pursue opportunities for academic and professional partnerships that align with business objectives. Propose and support funding initiatives and projects that enhance the visibility and impact of our portfolio.
• Medico-Marketing and Compliance: Contribute to the development of medico-marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with local business plans and regulatory requirements. Provide critical support to cross-functional teams while upholding Novo Nordisk’s commitment to ethical standards, medical governance, and safety reporting protocols.
• Medical Information Support: Respond to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals regarding Novo Nordisk products, providing accurate, compliant, and timely medical information.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Professional Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a multinational organization. A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine being highly advantageous.
• Specialized Knowledge: Experience in diabetes and obesity therapy areas is a significant asset, reflecting your ability to engage deeply with relevant clinical challenges.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and spoken proficiency in both English and Arabic, enabling seamless interaction with diverse stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network effectively with local healthcare interests are essential.
