• User and Access Administration: Manage user access and permissions across designated systems and applications, ensuring strict adherence to organizational policies, standards, and industry best practices.
• System Security Administration: Oversee the security administration of operating systems, applications, and network security devices, aligning with organizational guidelines and vendor recommendations to fortify our infrastructure.
• Security System Implementation: Install, configure, and manage security tools, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances, and host-based security systems, to proactively safeguard our environment.
• Threat and Vulnerability Management: Conduct thorough threat and vulnerability assessments, followed by timely remedial actions to address potential security gaps and ensure systems remain resilient against evolving threats.
• System Hardening: Apply security patches, remove redundant services or accounts, and mitigate control weaknesses to enhance system security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Incident Response and Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve security issues and failures promptly, minimizing downtime and potential risks to our operations.
• Reporting and Compliance: Compile and analyze security incident and event data to generate comprehensive monthly reports, highlighting exceptions and key insights for management decision-making.
• Access and Change Request Management: Process both routine and exceptional user access and change requests, escalating complex cases as needed to ensure seamless and secure operations.
• Escalation and Reporting: Escalate unresolved network security exposures, resource misuse, or non-compliance issues through defined processes to ensure swift resolution and accountability.
• Mentorship and Training: Guide and train junior team members in the effective use of security tools, report preparation, and issue resolution, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for security systems and procedures, ensuring clarity, consistency, and scalability for future operations.
