Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Clinical Support and Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history reviews, and fall risk evaluations. Document findings accurately and implement necessary infection control measures to ensure patient safety. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, prioritizing patient comfort and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Administrative Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests to ensure continuity of care. Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions, treatments, and care plans, aligning with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supply and Equipment Management: Monitor and manage medical supplies and equipment, ensuring the outpatient department is adequately stocked and operational. Track inventory levels, verify expiration dates, and coordinate replenishment requests to avoid shortages. Accurately charge for services rendered and manage stock usage against unit inventory.
• Point-of-Care Testing and Procedures: Perform point-of-care testing and simple procedures, such as dressing changes and administering topical applications, with strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care plans. Assist with patient mobility needs, including transfers and the use of mobility aids, while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Safety and Compliance: Identify and report equipment defects, facility maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Respond promptly to urgent situations within the scope of your responsibilities, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Flexibility and Professional Development: Be prepared to float to other units as needed and work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Stay current with professional development requirements to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
