As a Junior Accountant, you will contribute to the financial health of our organization by handling daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial reporting—all while adhering to international financial standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of accounting functions, including:

• Daily Accounting Operations: Record and process day-to-day financial transactions with strict adherence to company policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Maintain and update critical accounting records, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries, verifying accuracy with supporting documentation.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Play a pivotal role in managing supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling vendor statements. Address discrepancies promptly and assist in resolving billing or payment-related queries. Support the preparation and issuance of customer invoices, track collections, and monitor outstanding balances to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Prepare and update daily bank reconciliation statements, monitoring petty cash transactions to maintain accurate financial records. Collaborate with the team to prepare payment requests and uphold meticulous bank documentation.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all accounting records are properly filed, organized, and readily available for internal and external audits. Assist in compiling documentation for regulatory submissions, including VAT reports, while supporting the team in meeting compliance deadlines.
• Ad Hoc & Administrative Support: Execute additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the Finance Department’s objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this position, you should possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a keen interest in financial operations.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within trading, distribution, or FMCG industries, where transactional accuracy is paramount.
• A solid understanding of IFRS principles and VAT regulations, ensuring compliance with global financial standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills to manage complex financial tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively under supervision, meeting deadlines with precision.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
